Karen Musey here. Hi!

I am delighted you are here. I am a Canadian prairie girl (big sky!) who thrives near wild water spaces, dry humor, joy and art; I currently work bicoastally between New York and Los Angeles. My foster fail AdventureCat™ tabby keeps me in line both fashionably and energetically.

​I am a Usui Reiki Master Teacher, Angelic Liquid Light Level 2 Practitioner, a GYROTONIC® Trainer and an Artist.

As a performer I have flown around the world (www.karenmusey.com) and taught for 15+ years in a variety of movement modality and dance disciplines. A debilitating neck injury early in my career prompted me to explore holistic modalities of healing from injury, and this is where my journey with Usui Reiki and the GYROTONIC® Method began.

I find by honoring my own and my clients’ curiosity,  having a bit of lightness and a sense of humor (!) helps to soften the sharp edges of resistance to change in a session. I love holding space for people and animals to release and experience more peace, joy and freedom.

​I was first attuned to Reiki energy in 2009 with Barb Keshen and Geordie Numata in the Usui / Tibetan Reiki Lineage and have been a Usui Reiki Master since 2020. I have served as a Reiki Practitioner in New York City at the Madison Square Clinic, the free clinic for addiction at Third Root Community Center.

In 2021 I was trained as an Animal Reiki Practitioner by Liliane Lukacs. I adore working with animals and have had the good fortune to connect with many and their guardians in finding solutions to tricky issues. Animals are so wonderfully succinct and intelligent. I am a registered affiliate with Reiki.org.

My GYROTONIC® Method journey began in earnest in 2015; I am currently certified to Level 2 and the Dancer’s Series on the tower. I currently teach private and tower classes from Kinespirit in NY, and with distant clients.
